I Was Almost A Canadian!
Benjamin was born about October 6, 2017 and will likely top out in the 60 lb. range when full grown. This handsome boy left Missouri for a long road trip where volunteers drove one hour at a time to get these five pups to the Canadian border in Niagara Falls where border patrol checked the paperwork and decided these kids were not old enough (must be 8 months) to meet Canada's laws on transporting dogs. So the poor volunteer making the last United States hour was sitting in a parking lot, in tears, as she had no clue what to do with these puppies. One of our long time volunteers heard the news and made arrangements for an overnight stay and then during the night it was decided that the Canadian rescue for which the pups were headed would surrender them to Joyful Rescues so we could find them homes. Whew! So, these beautiful, sweet, pups are looking for you! A couple of them seem a bit shy on intake, but it could be due to all the fuss. It seems, due to space, that the mom and two more siblings will be coming at a later date. This is all we know so far and will be learning as we go and so will you. So happy we had enough room to help them.

Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
